Internal links

Select a page and Canary can show the internal links pointing to it, the links leaving it, or both directions at once.

Canary can display HTTP status, content type, indexability, canonical URL, site path, title, meta description, robots directives, schema types, social metadata, heading hierarchy, image ALT information, language, form labeling signals, empty links or buttons, rendered contrast analysis, incoming links, outgoing links, redirect chains, final URL, and JavaScript-rendering signals.
These signals support review. Canary does not replace a complete accessibility audit or provide regulatory compliance.

The SEO Action Plan converts Canary findings into a remediation workflow instead of leaving users with a raw list of warnings.

Fixed - Unverified means the user marked the work complete, but Canary has not confirmed it through a later crawl. Verified Fixed means Canary no longer detects the issue after an appropriate later crawl.
Search, status filters, category filters, Inspect, View in map, Open page, Excel export, and SEO Report controls keep the workflow practical.

Creates a standard XML sitemap from eligible discovered pages.

Creates an index for one or more sitemap files and supports splitting large URL sets when needed.
robots.txt
Creates a conservative robots.txt draft based on discovered crawl information and includes sitemap information.
Always review generated site files before publishing them to a live website.
Crawler
Control the Crawl
Use Scan Site, Pause Scan, Resume Scan, Stop Scan, and Scan New Site as the crawl changes. Include subdomains and Check external links are available when the review calls for them.
Results can vary because of robots rules, authentication, site permissions, JavaScript rendering, network behavior, and site architecture. Canary does not promise discovery of every URL on every website.

Canary supports the Chrome Side Panel and Firefox Sidebar. See the current site, choose crawl options, start a scan, monitor crawl state, and open the full dashboard.
Crawling can continue while you browse elsewhere.
Privacy
Local-First by Design
- No account is required for core functionality.
- Crawl state and workflow information use browser extension storage.
- Crawl results are not sent to a Canary cloud database.
- Crawl results are not sent to an external AI service.
- Canary does not sell crawl data.
- Website access is used to crawl the website selected by the user.
